Abstract

ComBo, a new group intervention being focused in the current session, is an educational resource aimed at professionals working with adults in need of AAC in residential homes and facilities for daily activities. ComBo is one of the intervention packages within the Swedish partner focused program AKKtiv. ComBo is typically delivered by two educated instructors during a period of four months, encompassing eight 120- min group sessions.

This presentation focuses the results of two qualitative studies analyzing interviews with professionals participating in ComBo, their managers and also some users about their communication competency. The results were mainly positive and points to the importance of engaging the manager.
