Angelika Seeschaaf-Veres
Angelika Seeschaaf-Veres is an industrial designer, educator, and foresight leader.
As co-founder of Radical Norms and Signs of Change she critically explores
uncertainty, trends, and weak signals to materialize future worlds, products,
services, and systems. Her immersive, accessible designs uncover blind spots and
guide innovation and strategic planning in post-normal times. She is an Associate
Professor of Design at OCAD University, teaching Industrial and Graduate
Design. With Jutta Treviranus, she co-leads a national research hub on the Future
of Work and disruptive technologies (IDEA) for people with disabilities,
contributing to inclusive AI policy in Canada. She merges speculative and
inclusive design to advocate for equity in emerging tech. As part of the
international and multidisciplinary Baby Bliss Bot project, she co-develops AI-
augmented communication systems for marginalized AAC users, ensuring that
assistive technologies serve outliers typically excluded—navigating the risks and
transformative potential of AI with care, creativity, innovation and inclusion.
