Becky Fry
Becky Fry is a Speech and Language Therapist and Clinical AAC Specialist at Smartbox Assistive Technology. She has over a decade of experience working across the NHS and private sectors, supporting individuals with complex communication needs in schools, care settings, secure units, and the community. She currently serves as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Smartbox.
“I’m really passionate about supporting people’s ability to actively participate in their own life by creating opportunities for rich and fulfilling conversation. This starts with understanding and celebrating how they communicate and using AAC tools to extend and enhance their skills.”
Becky brings a person-centered, authentic approach to her work and believes that communication should be accessible and meaningful for everyone. She’s also open about her own experiences with ADHD and learning, which shape her thoughtful, inclusive support style.
