David McNaughton

David McNaughton, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Educational and School Psychology and Special Education at The Pennsylvania State University. He teaches classes on assistive technology, grant writing, and literacy instruction. His current research interests include literacy instruction for individuals who require AAC, the development of vocational opportunities for individuals with severe disabilities, and the effective use of web-based instructional materials to support pre-service and in-service instruction.

David McNaughton’s research is funded by a grant from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR grant 90REGE0014) to the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (RERC on AAC). NIDILRR is a Center within the Administration for Community Living (ACL), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
