Gat Savaldi Harussi
Dr. Gat Savaldi-Harussi is a speech-language pathologist who earned her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and San Francisco State University. She is founder and director of the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Lab in the Department of Communication Disorders at Ariel University, Israel, where she serves as a faculty member. Dr. Savaldi-Harussi’s research focuses on cross-linguistic language and literacy development and evidence-based AAC interventions for individuals with communication support needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. Her work examines the interplay between typical and atypical language development in the context of AAC. Her interdisciplinary collaborations include research in applied psycholinguistics, special education, and technology.
