George Whelan
Inspector George Whelan began his career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in 2005. During his 20 years of service, he has dedicated his time and energy to improving relationships between the RCMP and the individuals they serve. In 2018 Inspector Whelan was recognized at the Attorney General’s Excellence in Law Enforcement Awards gala for his significant contributions to policing in the Province of Manitoba. In 2019 he was also awarded the National Chapter of Canada IODE RCMP Community Service Award. After working for a number of years in Northern Manitoba, in 2018 Inspector Whelan transferred to Headquarters in Winnipeg, MB and is currently the officer in charge of Career Development and Resourcing Services.
