Linda Burkhart
Linda Burkhart is an internationally known teacher and leader in the field of assistive technology and AAC for individuals who face severe challenges with more than 50 years experience. She has developed numerous adapted materials and innovative strategies for teaching children to be active learners and develop their abilities to participate in life. She is the author of a number of books and software. Currently, Linda works as a private consultant. She presents trainings and workshops nationally and internationally.

Linda Burkhart has a small home business where she sells some of her own software activities and books. She sometimes demonstrates these activities at trainings, along with other software titles from a variety of vendors. From time to time, she voluntarily consults with vendors as to features desirable for scanning access to their software and devices. Linda present workshops on the topics of multi-modal communication and learning, CVI, AAC, and PODD. She receives honorariums for workshops from the organization sponsoring each training. Gayle Porter is the owner of the PODD communication system. She receives royalties from publishers and electronic device software suppliers for use of the PODD generic template resources. Gayle also receives honorariums for presentations on PODD and a range of other topics.
