Omar Ghaboura

Omar Ghaboura is a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders across diverse populations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy from Phoenicia University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology of Mental Health at the University of Warwick. With clinical roles in Kuwait and Lebanon, Omar has developed a keen interest in neurodiversity-affirming practices and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). He is a certified Hanen provider and holds an Autism certification from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). His professional development includes AAC and Gestalt Language Processing, bilingual AAC use at home, and various evidence-based strategies for treating apraxia, stuttering, and language delays. Omar has recently delved into the world of research with a keen interest in early intervention and AAC. Omar’s current studies explore innovative AAC interventions that promote autonomy, social connection, and meaningful participation for individuals with limited spoken communication.
