Thanh Diep
Thanh Diep is a Vietnamese American woman with Cerebral Palsy. She interacts with people with the assistance of my Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device called the Accent 1400. She has been an AAC user since she was around nine years old. She is a Bridge School alumni, and attended one of the first Bridge School classrooms. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies.
She is a member of the Awareness Committee of the United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (USSAAC). She is a co-coordinator and when it is not on pause, she is the Treasurer for Bridging Committees Through Augmentative Communication (BCTAC). She is a mentor at the Bridge School Self-Determination Program. She is a volunteer assistant and mentor to both the clinicians and participants at San Francisco State University Conversation Club, where future Speech Language Pathologists work with some individuals, who use AAC. She is a mentor to many, artist, filmmaker and writer. She lives in San Francisco.
