Venkat Raman Prusty

Working as an Audiologist, Speech Language Pathologist, with total sixteen years of experience, after Masters degree in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology. During three years of service at California, USA, the author got exposed to several AAC devices and systems and worked vastly with children from preschool to post-secondary. After coming back to India, continued advocating use of AAC, by educating fellow SLPs, Special Educators and caregivers through more than twenty workshops and webinars. Mian focus of the author is to emphasize use of any kind of communication method to help individuals instead of fixating on conventional methods of speech production by self. The author gives free consultation and training to parents to build a customized no-tech and low-tech AAC systems and how to transfer or implement high tech systems if families can provide one. The author also has been working on patients in his hospital with laryngectomy, aphasia, glossectomy and other conditions impairing their speech production.
