Krista Howard

Krista Howard is a multimodal communicator. She uses a PRC-Accent with Unity 144, an iPad and iPhone with various AAC applications, and PicSeePal a light-tech housing solution for her AAC needs. Krista has provided AAC mentoring, training, and support in teletherapy, classrooms, day-treatment programs for adults and Virtual Social Groups (Kate Ahernโ€™s AAC Voices and Out and About) and presented at many conferences. She worked at Gompers day program as an AT/ AAC Specialist Assistant prior to Covid-19. Currently, she is an AAC implementation consultant for school districts in the Phoenix area, a home-service provider for a young woman who utilizes AAC, and ambassador for PRC-Saltillo and PicSeePal USA, LLC. Krista is also a parent of an 11 year-old son and a student at Arizona State University pursuing a Bachelorโ€™s Degree and enrolled in the SLPA program at NAU. She plans to be the first SLPA who is an AAC user.
