Margie Charlesworth
Margie’s interest in emotion work in relation to people living with CCN, from her own experiences of having to perform, suppress, monitor, and pretend her own emotions for the benefit of others. She began thinking about the concept of emotion work in relation to women with disabilities in her Honors Thesis in 2008-2009.
Having a strong sense of social justice, Margie has been a prominent member of the disability sector within South Australia for 30 years and has also had the opportunity to work at the National and international level.
Margie is now working as a Communication Access Consultant and Trainer at Two Way Street. She enjoys going to watch amateur theater, live sport, with good friends and a great red.
