Xuet Ying Tan

ISAAC Singapore Chapter

Ms Tan Xuet Ying is a Principal Speech Therapist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). Her special interest lies in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She was the founding President of ISAAC Singapore and has been serving in the committee. She leads the AAC service in TTSH and with her team at TTSH, they have set up “Help Me Speak” Programme – a loan programme for eye gaze communication devices. The programme has benefitted a large variety of patients including those with brainstem stroke with locked-in syndrome, motor neuron disease, spinal cord injury and patients requiring mechanical or home ventilation.
